It's about the peoples house. It's about the institution of Democracy. It's about a civil society accepting the will of the people via the vote, not trying to break in because they did not get the red or blue team they wanted.
It's beyond distasteful, it's sedition and it was an attempt at fascism. They chose the day and time, so there's no ambiguity about intent, it was not because they 'hate Nancy' it was to subvert the will of the people, of democracy and to force
a Trumprica onto the people. 'Trumprica' because they brought flags with Trump on them so there's no ambiguity that they could give two shits for the country. They are not patriots, they were brown shirts wanting their cult 45 to be their king.
It's not about whether one likes the people, the reps or not, that is immaterial, if you are apart of a democracy you accept that you don't always win. What these clowns represented was the worst case example of
immature entitlement. It was beyond and sets a precedent that if not tamped down NOW by the fullest extent of the law may very well become the new norm every time team bullshit doesn't get their way.
If this shit is not cleaned up this year, we will no longer last under the United States Constitution.
It will become something else.
That is why it is in no way the same as people doing their constitutional right to protest on the streets of America. Some places had property damage, so fucking what. 90% of the protests after all the news stories were gathered were peaceful and non violent with minimal to no property damage. Americans were exorcising their constitutional right to protest. In some places where there was damage, agent provocateurs' (as usual) were involved in creating and exacerbating the situation.
So on no fucking level is either of these equivocal. People it seems need some basic re education about 5th grade civics if they think otherwise.
