And yet no one has been charged with it yet. They also said the violent insurrectionist who wanted to overthrow the most power country in the world government beat Officer Sicknick to death with a fire extinguisher. Maybe this was more about free speech and less about overthrowing the government.
I don't agree with entering the Capital building illegally but I don't really think this was an attempt to overthrow the government either.

As I have stated, it's probably because the "insurrection" failed. Drummie and I agree that they can be charged with attempt but why even bother?
And the fire extinguisher part? That is done to death. Time to retire that.

Your contention is like someone whose home is mistakenly invaded by Police and when he defends himself he is charged with attempts to kill the officers.
The trespassers were not trying to overthrow the government.
They were trying to help insure justice was done with regard to the election.
