There is no strategic advantage to sailing one or two tiny warships that were allowed to pass, especially since one of them was warned off by our military and was perforce a total failure for propaganda purposes.
The Strait is open or closed at our discretion. Outdated naval ships do not frighten anyone. We have swarms of drones, including many that are undetectable by most means. They have mine-laying capabilities and can sink any vessel at will. America must think they are fighting the Second World War. This is a new era, and we have the mastery.

We have plenty of cost-effective weapons, and the backing (tacit or otherwise) of the majority of world leaders. Should we wish to, we could sink aircraft carriers with swarms of drones that cost less than an American automobile. We can down fighter jets likewise. Bombers are trickier, but as public opinion worldwide shifts farther and further away from the American-Israel axis, where will they be allowed to fly from?
