Wall was built in the 9th century and it is open nearly all the time. You can walk all over the holy grounds. It was built as protection against the Saracen Pirates who were looting cities . It was not designed to keep out the poor and needy.

You're truly an insufferable idiot. The Vatican's been in existence since the 4th century AD. The wall was built in 846 AD to deter Saracen pirates.

You think the Pope should destroy a country's ancient historical fortification just because RWNJs are pissed that people criticize trump's attempt to build a wall.

The Vatican, as I recall, also has an open border policy. No passport or Visa control of any kind.

I really do not think teabaggers thought this thing through when they foolishly attempted to point to the Vatican as an analogy for Trumpian-style border control.

Bullshit. I've been there. Everybody passing through the controlled areas is screened, metal detectors and random body searches. and they must provide evidence of a valid reason to be there, as in a tourist pass.

The wall there isn't to keep out immigrants. They actually allow you to walk around said wall.
