Ok those on the left here is your chance.

Is the corona virus death toll be used as a political tool?

  • YES

  • NO

    Votes: 7 33.3%
  • DON'T KNOW

    Votes: 1 4.8%

  • Total voters

  • Poll closed .
Don't forget their other goal: to scare people away from the polls so that voting by mail becomes the universal standard.

PA. already went with the voting by mail for the primaries. I can see printing shops springing up all over the place if this becomes the norm.

No I believe most here can see bullshit when it's posted.

You are correct in that we should concentrate on not overwhelming the healthcare system not the number of deaths.

That is a guess that may or may not be accurate. I agree if it is a densely packed area that is almost assured. But if it is a sparsely populated state like North Dakota then not so much.

It isn't a guess. It's simple math. Cases go down when the number of people infected by each carrier drops below 1. That happens because of social distancing, contact tracing, and aggressive quarantine. Remove it, and that number is going to rise above 1. It isn't rocket science.

No. The infection rate is just as important if not more so. If we infect 40% of the population and we have a mortality rate of 0.3% that's still 600,000 dead. And if we overrun our healthcare system, 0.3% is probably really low

Probably/maybe nobody knows what the frick it is.

Positive case numbers lag very far behind case numbers detected with antibody tests in every study that’s been done. IOW, it suggests a lot more people have had the COVID virus than anyone ever ‘guessed’.

Wouldn’t it be nice to know if we’re going about this all wrong?

Without an accurate mortality rate there’s no basis to form policy. Case numbers mean a different thing with a 3% mortality rate than they do at 0.3%.

So wouldn't it make sense to get a handle on those numbers through mass testing before we open anything back up?

Yes it would. And if this administration had not totally botched the response, we might have made progress towards that goal. But we haven't.

China screwed the pooch for us on that.

Even The Obama couldn’t have changed anything once the virus got here. Actually, there’s a good chance Obama would have hesitated on shutting down immigration from China.

Why isn’t Sweden digging mass graves?

DEMOCRATS are pushing to make it the "preferred" method of voting in all 50 states, and Pelosi is demanding funding in her porkulus wish list.

The coronavirus pandemic, which has led most states to shut down almost all aspects of social and economic life, is also raising questions about what life will look like by the time the general election rolls around in November.

The public got a preview of what voting in the age of the coronavirus looks like during the Wisconsin primary election. Only five of the city's 180 polling places were open.

Analysis by the Blue York Crimes after Wisconsin's election this month did find that the DEMOCRAT judicial candidate benefited significantly from mail-in voting.

With the mandatory closure of schools and businesses nationwide because of fears about spreading the coronavirus, greater access to voting by mail-in ballot — a common cause for voting rights activists — has become a mainstream issue.

"Voters have already been forced to choose between their health and casting their ballot," said Sean Eldridge, the founder and president of progressive advocacy group Stand Up America, in a conference call with reporters last week. "We must prepare our voting systems both for the upcoming primaries and the general elections this fall."

Alaska, Hawaii, Kansas, Montana, Ohio and Wyoming each canceled their in-person primaries in favor of allowing all residents to vote by mail.

Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland and Pennsylvania are allowing any voter to send in an absentee ballot.

Although red states and blue states have taken measures to expand vote-by-mail, there is hardly bipartisan consensus on the issue.

Five states currently conduct elections almost entirely by vote-by-mail: Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Utah is a reliably Republican state, and Oregon and Washington both have Republican secretaries of state.

The pandemic PANIC is an extenuating factor for some Republicans, important enough to make vote-by-mail a more viable option for some. Maryland's GOP governor, Larry Hogan, urged voters to cast absentee ballots due to concerns about the virus, and Republican Governor Chris Sununu, of New Hampshire, announced that voters would be allowed to cite the virus as an excuse to cast a mail-in ballot in November. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Secretary of State Frank LaRose, both Republicans, appeared in a video encouraging citizens to vote by mail.

Stand Up America and Fair Fight Action were among several advocacy groups that sent an open letter to Congress earlier this month asking for lawmakers to include $4 billion in "election assistance funding" in the next coronavirus relief package.

Marc Elias, the chairman of Perkins Coie's Political Law Group, represents the DEMOCRAT National Committee and the DEMOCRAT Party of Wisconsin. Elias told See-BS News that Congress had the authority to fundamentally change how the country votes in federal elections. Congress could implement mandatory voter registration and require that every voter receive an absentee ballot.

Nattering Nancy Pelosi and Swinish Schumer told reporters on Tuesday that they want to include election assistance in the next coronavirus relief package. DEMOCRATc Senators Amy Klobuchar and Ron Wyden have sponsored a bill to require every state to make its citizens to vote by mail, and to expand early voting.

If the economy can be brought to a grinding halt by a virus, and the only prescription is to reopen everything now without mass testing, then the fundamentals of the economy are not strong, never were, and the democratic socialists have been right this whole time.

Who told you that?

“If the economy can be brought to a grinding halt by a virus, and the only prescription is to reopen everything now without mass testing...”

Everything is not reopening.

You all are making such a big deal on the number of deaths in the US.

Other than figuring how lethal the corona virus is, how does it figure in on reopening the states? Be honest and give reasons not BS!

We are upset because we went from zero deaths in January to having one-third of the cases and deaths on the planet. Some of us do not see that as a success. We are 4 percent of the world's population. We are doing worse than any other country. The differing factor is Trump. Yes, it is a big deal, A real fucking big deal and we are piling up deaths.
