you seem to be wandering off course somewhere......no one has denied what Christianity teaches.......we only pointed out your misrepresentations about guilt were inaccurate....the purpose of Christian doctrine is not to leave people mired in guilt, as is true with CRT.......the purpose of Christian doctrine is to offer hope......
 
The purpose of Christian doctrine is similar to the purpose of Islamic doctrine to the Taliban.

Islam is newer, so they're now doing the stuff that the Inquisition did a few centuries ago.

This is all pretty fucking obvious, actually.

NOpe. The purpose of guilt in Christianity is to remind you you are fallen. Flawed. That you can't EARN your way to redemption.

CRT at least holds out the hope that you can LEARN AND CHANGE

BOTH REQUIRE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE NOT PERFECT.

Salvation by faith alone is one of humanity's dumbest ever concepts.
From what we're being saved is one of humanity's under-asked question.

Consider the infinite length of eternity, and then explain how anybody--even Adolph Hitler--can earn eternal damnation in a very short human lifetime.

People will believe anything, which is one reason to realize that human's can't possibly be the ultimate destination of evolution.

Actually I disagree. While I don't believe in the whole supernatural thing, I think that it is a really cool concept. That we understand at all times that we are prone to error. That we are flawed beings. We cannot expect perfection from ourselves or from others. And it's up to us to grant each other "grace" remembering that we are ALL flawed. In a sense I think that's actually kinda cool.

But if you think about it in terms of something like CRT it is clear what our "sin" is. We carry with us some degree of racism within us. It is incumbent upon us to know what our forebears have done and to ensure we LEARN from that so that we may do better. But we must also all realize we will never achieve perfection (we can't), but we SURELY can make things better for those around us.

Racism is universal among all races, as is exploitation and persecution.
The sins of Euro-Americans are obvious in terms of slavery and then Jim Crow.
But what is the history of black people with power over others?
Aren't black Islamists still circumcising little girls in Africa?

Our big problem is putting expectations on a scale.
If we apply the same minimum standards to everybody regardless of background,
it may be unfair to some,
but it would eventually improve our species.

Our species is in desperate need of improvement;
but given the number of generations that we probably have left,
considering the condition of our planet,
maybe it isn't worth the effort.

But that isn't the point. The point of CRT is NOT to find everyone's sins but to understand OUR HISTORY with regards to race. I couldn't care less how evil some one else is, so long as I attempt to NOT BE EVIL MYSELF. And the only way to do that is to understand what has been done in my name and what has "benefited" me. Systemic racism has done all that within my lifetime.

I agree. The larger point you make that all people have some flaw in them is absolutely true. But that doesn't make CRT any less valuable just because some other society at some other time did some other evil.
 
It has been suggested by some sociologists that...is the only way to present CRT.

Too many educators substitute propaganda for education, and I saw that plainly in 1950s McCarthyism era grade school.
Sadly it's mothing new, and it can even be recognized by a reasonably intelligent ten-year-old who's not discouraged from questioning things.
