Would you say that Christianity has been inimical to human progress?

Does this pertain to, or include, the study of math, science and logic?

Same question, does this pertain to, or include, the study of math, science and logic?
probably not.

it's probably just more inbred autistic yeshiva students, rocking back and forth all day muttering to themselves.

You stated that Christianity retarded progress, was inimical to human flourishing.

If that's true, you have to show history would have unfolded in a superior way if Christianity were just removed from the historical record.

Things like slavery and sexism were almost universal in all historical civilizations. If anything, the Romans, Greeks, and Muslims were worse for institutional slavery on balance than the Christian civilization that replaced it, or coexisted with it. I don't see how Christianity made the situation worse.

Now, in my opinion it's fair to give Christianity low marks on tolerance, largely because it's an exclusivist religion.
So, the US had slavery. Why did not Christians prevent that from happening?

Chattel slavery in the Americas was a creation of mercantile capitalists. It wasn't created by the Anglican or Presbyterian churches.

More importantly, the abolition movement was spearheaded by Christians in the USA and Britain.
