Archaeology of the New Testament

But that has nothing to do with the original claim you made, which is that Jesus' dead body would have just been left on the cross for the crows to eat, or whatever.
This form of crucifixion was more typical in China, particularly in the high deserts. where the decaying body wouldn't be as much of a stink to the general population or as a health threat.

QED on fanatics only seeing what they want to see. Good luck chasing that pot of gold which you claim isn't impossible. I say it is since it's impossible to reach the end of a rainbow.
It's not impossible to reach the end of a rainbow. A rainbow only needs water droplets and sunlight. If there comes a point, such as where light hits the ground, where sunlight can't pass through water droplets, the rainbow would cease to exist.

As a lapsed Catholic, I am still dumbfounded as to why so many Catholics wear gold crosses on chains around their necks
or have crucifixes on their home walls.

If Jesus lived in more recent times, can you imagine somebody wearing a gold electric chair, gallows platform, firing squad wall, gas chamber, or lethal injection table around his or her neck?

How would it be any different?
This is actually a good point.

I don't remember Christ for His death, but for His resurrection and His teachings. It was Jesus Christ that made the cross and even death itself a passing thing...not permanent. To revere the cross is to ignore what Jesus Christ accomplished.

Rainbows can and do touch the ground. The same is true of a Glory. Indeed, if the ground weren't in the way, they would be a complete circle.

You can often see such phenomena in aircraft, or even by standing on a mountain top and looking into a valley of clouds below with the Sun behind you.

Not interviews, Cyborg!!!
Luke explicitly states he wrote his gospel account based on the testimony he heard from the eyewitnesses.

Luke 1
"Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus..."

As @Cypress and I have discussed, Jesus wasn't on the cross until he rotted. He was up there for an afternoon. With the Sabbath beginning at sunset and Jesus appearing to have already died, TPTB allowed his body to be taken down and entombed.

Despite his wounds, it's possible for a human being to survive such abuse and "rise" from the grave even if he died later from infection, which would explain why he disappeared after meeting with his disciples.

For primitive people, it would be a miracle that he "rose from the dead".

The Apostles spread out across the region preaching about Jesus and the budding religion of Christianity. Many of them died for their beliefs including St. Peter who was crucified upside down by Nero since Peter felt unworthy to die like his lord. Such devout beliefs are strong indicators that they saw what they thought to be a miracle, the resurrection of Jesus.

I'm a big believer "results count". People can say whatever they like, but results count. If the results aren't there, then it's just so much hot air. The results after the crucifixion and "resurrection" of Jesus are well demonstrated by the actions of others.

Anyone who claims the entire story is a fabrication is simply the flip-side of those who accept the story as a miracle. The middle way is to look at the facts and determine if it was possible for Jesus to survive the crucifixion...and it appears it is for the reasons mentioned.
And you claim the entire story is a fabrication.

Several JPP MAGAts have threatened to beat me, shoot me and dox me.
MAGAts is not a word, Sybil. It must really suck to be so paranoid.
"Results count" means if any of those things become a reality or not.

While atheists often claim that the story of Jesus is a complete fabrication, the results are the actions of those in the early Christian church who died rather than forsake their beliefs.

Most people are not as stupid as the militant atheists and militant theists believe them to be. The results indicate most people are not easily bullshitted for long. They start to see through lies and manipulation even if it takes a few years such as with Nazism in the 1930s and Trumpism in the 2020s.
There is no such thing as a 'militant atheist', Sybil. Trump is not a socialist, Sybil.

and three days later, He was resurrected and walked out of the tomb.

Ignoring the rest of Luke 1? He's not describing the crucifixion or the resurrection here.

The cross is a symbol of death! ☠️
"Christians see the cross as a symbol of hope, love and, ultimately, salvation. That's why a cross is found in nearly every Christian church."

"The cross stands at the heart of Christian hope, not as a symbol of defeat or despair but as the ultimate emblem of victory and redemption."
