Another billion-dollar company bailing on California

As I said, I can't make you understand why CA is losing major corporations and billionaires like Bezos and Musk. Perhaps you can call them and ask.
California definitely has not lost Bezos, because he never lived in California. After school, he lived in NYC and then the suburbs of Seattle. I am sure he visited Silicon Valley often, but my guess was he visited NYC even more often. He has always been more linked to NYC than Silicon Valley.

Musk, and the rest of the PayPal Mafia, are trying to leave Silicon Valley, but without Silicon Valley they are nothing. Musk's answer to this was to pledge to never own a house. He claims to rent a tiny house in Boca Chica, Texas as his primary residence, but does not appear to actually live there. The mothers of his children want to live in California, but he has been trying to set them up in Austin, Texas(the least Texas part of Texas). Some definitely still live in California, and he often spends a lot of time as a "guest" at houses in California.

A huge amount of Musk's businesses are still in California. That is where is valuable workers want to live, and that is where the companies are founded.

KB does with tract housing what a lot of bigger developers do these days. Most of the house is manufactured at a factory as pre-assembled panels and these are then assembled on site. This eliminates a lot of errors in framing as the crew on site only needs to put the panels together in the proper order.

I know pretty much how modular homes are built. The GF's BIL works at one, has set many up, and now works in the office. Company is solid and builds some nice homes. Not just anyone can work for them as set up.

Hmmmmm.

I gather that you do not understand or deny why so many corporations and billionaires are leaving high tax democrat run states and seeking refuge in red states with much lower taxes.
That fits right in with your financial advice.
Sorry, you are angry that you lost all your money betting against Trump and are now left with nothing but a Yaris.
You alt lefties are a hoot.

The problem Silicon Valley has is it creates too many billionaires, and too many huge companies to fit them all. Real estate costs are insane.

If you do not understand that, you are lost on this topic.

OK, so you think CA is losing billionaires and huge corporations because they have too many of them.
You alt lefties are still a hoot.
BTW, Silicon Valley is a small section of CA.

It is too darn crowded.

Yes, that is the way California works. Literally, only 1% of it is productive, with the other 99% either agricultural or empty. That 1% is not very expandable for geographic reasons, so it becomes more and more crowded.

Maybe high speed rail could fix the situation, but that is about it.

In 2023, California had 186 billionaires. Now it has 246 billionaires, an increase of 32%. If California keeps "losing" billionaires at that pace, there will be no room for anymore.

OK wally. Go wax your Yaris.
If you have a lot of money, sure spend a small part of it on a luxury car, but other than that, luxury cars just seem like a way to keep poor people poor.

You do have a point that I am being a bit stingy, but why spend money just because I can?

Oh, and I seriously do not wax my Yaris. I have it detailed on the inside four times a year, but never anything on the outside. I do not need to show off.
