Democrats and gas prices

Building the XL pipe line would have only benefited the Koch brothers and put very few people to work and the Chinese NOT the American people again because we do not use that type of oil in our refineries.

Who told you that?

Look it up.
There is a good report on it called everything you need or want to know about the Keystone XL pipe line.

I agree , we don't have the types of refineries that use a lot of the oil we produce so we have to import it.
Just like Canadian Tar sand oil , Building the XL pipe line would have only benefited the Koch brothers and put very few people to work and the Chinese NOT the American people again because we do not use that type of oil in our refineries.
And there is a lot of tar sand oil up there and IF we could refine it into fuel it would be a real blessing but we can't and don't.
Well, one of the two Koch brothers is dead so it won't benefit him at all.

The whole reason the XL pipeline was being built was to reduce the shipping costs of moving tar sand oil by rail to refineries in the Great Lakes region that were already refining it, and then to Texas refineries that were also already refining it.

So, yes, the US does refine tar sand at multiple refineries and has been doing it for quite a while.

Some very informative reading.

Yep it is the dotted line that connects to the original Keystone pipeline, the solid green line is the original , that has been in use for years, It was back in the Obama years the EPA told them if they would run the new XL pipeline next to the old one they would grant them the permits but Trans Canada pipeline co didn't want to do that wanted to put it where the dotted line is and the EPA said NO.
Oh and that green line that runs off to the right is part of the Original Keystone pipeline and has been there for years.
