Democrats and gas prices

Pre-conflict forecasts (from EIA, JPMorgan, etc., in February) expected Brent to average in the $60–70 range for much of 2026 due to global oversupply and inventory builds.

Geopolitical disruptions have instead injected a large risk premium, causing analysts (e.g., S&P Global, Goldman Sachs) to revise 2026 assumptions upward significantly—to around $75–85/bbl on average—but with wide uncertainty bands depending on how long Hormuz-related issues persist.

Some longer-dated futures contracts suggest the market views the current spike as partly temporary (pricing in potential de-escalation later in 2026), but near-term prices are not settling into any narrow range.

In short, oil prices are currently more reactive to news flow than to underlying supply/demand fundamentals, so any sense of "stabilization" would likely require clearer resolution on the Middle East situation. Markets are watching developments closely, and prices could swing further in either direction on fresh headlines.

Better by .20? Not a meaningful difference when the price jumped $1.50.
Whiner.
Yes, it is.

So, back to what you called a my "story".

Which of these claims is the "story"?

  • I'm paying $5 a gallon
Your story.
  • I live in Maricops county where the average price is $4.91: Link
$4.91 is not $5. AAA Average price is no the highest or lowest price.
  • $4.because we had a nuclear agreement in place with Iran,
  • Trump tore it up,
Oil is not a nuclear fuel, Void. Iran violated the nuclear treaty, not Trump.
  • then spent $200 billion to attack Iran,
A drop in the bucket.
  • they (Iran) closed the strait of Hormuz
Iran did, temporarily.
  • and now we have to offer them a deal, where we have to ask them to reopen the straight of hormuz and, once again, agree to not develop nukes?
The Strait is open, Void. Iran will not get to build nukes.

Current oil price is 94.31.
Gasoline is converting to summer mix. That usually causes a spike in gasoline prices around March-April, Tball. THAT was caused by DEMOCRATS.

You cannot blame DEMOCRATS on Trump, Tball.

Too many truckers can't speak, read, or write English, and can't understand basic road signs. Again, a problem caused by DEMOCRATS.

Circular argument fallacy (fundamentalism).

Yes, that's how communication works. Someone says things. In this case, I made a claim and you asked me to support it, which I did. Now you're resorting to word games to unnecessarily drag this out.

Is that so?
