Cleanup needed on Aisle 7, Jack! Toxic spill!
I'd much more like to hear about your future than some 'Girl Fight' from the Past.

Noticed Republicans applauding.
How could they help themselves?
No blaming. Just positive outlook about the possibilities for the future and how to make America greater.

I agree, Poli.
"A Blue Collar Plan for a Blueprint for the Future".
THIS ... is a winning Message.
Is "fantastic" a compliment in describing a speech, though?
Was the speech largely comprised of fantasy?
Most of them are, I suppose.
What would you like to have heard from a president?
I thought it was a pretty good speech.
I was merely suggesting that calling it "fantastic" wasn't a compliment.
That's attributing fantasy to him.
As the presiding executive officer of the nation's government, Biden has to give an optimistic front.
I don't fault him for that.
I which that he were more amenable toward socialized medicine, a feature that I consider requisite for any civilized country,
but I greatly admire his support for labor unions and recognize him as a massive improvement over his feckless predecessor.
So you wanted him to announce socialized medicine. Ok.
He can't just "announce" socialized medicine.
I realize that he's not the absolute ruling monarch.
And he's made it perfectly clear in the past that he still believes in Obamacare for whatever reason.
I had no expectation of him veering from that.
I thought it was a good speech.
My criticism was mostly of the word "fantastic" which taken literally isn't complimentary as a description for a speech.

Biden is impressive. Never expected him to be this good and inspiring.
Biden just reminded me of all the reasons I have admired him all of my life!
I couldn't be any more proud of him- or thankful for him at this time in history!
I thought it was a pretty good speech.

OK. None of those is the literal meaning of the word, however.
It's ok to use the word "fantastic" informally, to be sure, but when describing a speech in particular,
better choices would be wise. You don't want your president's speech to be identified with fantasy if you claim to like it.
That's all I'm saying. I guess that I care about language.
