Iran wants a nuclear weapon to use as a deterrent against a stronger opponent so Iran doesnt get annihilated at some point in the future. Yet by seeking to obtain a nuclear weapon it ends up getting you annihilated right now. Make it make sense.......

Iran stopped working on a nuclear weapon in 2003.....in fact the former leader who we killed forbid making any.

Also Iran/Persia has not been stronger in a very long time....they are currently kicking our ass.
