To be fair, NK is a lot further along now, with it's nuclear ambitions precisely because previous administrations from both parties "kicked the can down the road".

Every president from Clinton on had meetings with the NK. The president himself did not go. They sent their negotiating teams and diplomats. They strategically refused to sit down with a Kim because it would give a lot of international esteem to NK. They actually made deals. You really should do some homework before posting.
