In a criminal case when my clients are guilty, I tell them not to testify.
If my clients are subpoenaed in a non-criminal case, I tell them it would be illegal to refuse to testify.
If my clients were to tell their employees or friends not to testify, the DA would charge my clients with witness tampering.
