Overall, the Blue States have done far worse ... on Chinese virus deaths and their economies.
Hard to say for sure. "The president made me do it," though, is probably not a valid legal defense. lolI'm sure that these doctors still remember how to protect themselves, despite having been forced to sign NDAs. When trump demands treatments that aren't safe, or approved, I'm quite sure he'll be taking them AMA. In writing.
Agreed about legal defense. OTOH, those doctors assigned to Walter Reed and giving the reports are not necessarily the ones giving Trump all of his "treatments". Trump has the right, the authority and the money to bring in Dr. Feelgood for additional "treatments".
It explains why Trump is dancing around like he's 60 again while Melania, a quarter century his junior, is still suffering the effects of COVID-19.
Not a doctor, but that can't be healthy and increases his risks of a heart-attack or a stroke. ....I'm praying for stroke.
Gooooooo Stroke!!!!

Yep, had to deliver more than one of these, along with the warning that in many cases, your health care insurance won't cover your stay if you sign yourself out AMA.
As far as physicians prescribing unneeded and/or dangerous drugs, I don't think any sort of NDA or other agreement would protect them from an illegal and unethical practice.
^ LOL
I have no doubt that just as he has sleazy shysters on retainer, he's got more than one doc as well. Maybe that weirdo who wrote the "he's the healthiest fat old fuck ever" letter for him, or the one who got him out of the draft because "bone spurs."![]()
Not a doctor, but doctors seem to have a lot of latitude on prescribing drugs. My understanding is that they need to be able to reasonably justify it. Trump can complain of ADHD or Narcolepsy giving a doctor the excuse to prescribe it. Said doctor prescribes the maximum dosage and is completely legal albeit not necessarily ethical.
Doctors can't control if a patient hoards medication then crushes and snorts a week's supply all at once such as just before a debate or rally.
Is that assessment correct?

This combination medication is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - ADHD. It works by changing the amounts of certain natural substances in the brain. Amphetamine/dextroamphetamine belongs to a class of drugs known as stimulants. It can help increase your ability to pay attention, stay focused on an activity, and control behavior problems. It may also help you to organize your tasks and improve listening skills.
This drug is also used to treat a certain sleeping disorder (narcolepsy) to help you stay awake during the day. It should not be used to treat tiredness or to hold off sleep in people who do not have a sleep disorder.
Trump is a very transactional person with access to a lot of money. No doubt he could find himself a doctor with the same personality. How much is a medical license worth? $1M? $3M? Put the money in a trust as a bonus to be payable upon termination of their relationship. Pay the doctor a $20K/month salary until that time. Money buys a lot of access for people like Trump.
Oh absolutely. Wealthy actors, musicians, etc. do that all the time.
What all that money can't buy are super powers. Abuse a body for too long and the body begins to show the effects.
Frankly, I'm surprised Trump has held together for this long. His little Sunday surprise visit to WR last year was probably related to this topic. Routine? I doubt it.

He had some health crisis going on but as usual will never say what. He got incensed when it was rumored that he'd had some TIAs... so that was probably it!
Trump certainly has some mental issues, but I don't know if they are related to mini-strokes.
Not according to his niece's book -- he's been mentally ill his entire life.

When is the second Mr. Owl due to swim with the fishes?

I'm quite sure a bleach enema would not be protected, and the cocktail that trump was given in W. Reed isn't an approved treatment.Yep, had to deliver more than one of these, along with the warning that in many cases, your health care insurance won't cover your stay if you sign yourself out AMA.

But trump demanding steroids in order to be able to stay erect at his Klan rallies could be written off as an ongoing treatment for inflammatory issues.
Even so...I'll bet every one of his doctors has upped their malpractice insurance!
