I have little confidence that every juror will convict. As you stated, probably several times. When Chauvin walks, he will indeed end up a floater.
As he should.
I agree.

Hello Althea,
What? I didn't know that. They were acquainted before that day?
Best case scenario. I still think there is one juror who is pro cop.
pffffft, I notice you didn't retire a general......whatever.Awww, there you go again gettin' your BVDs in a bunch. All excited and all. No wonder you never made it.
Like it's not the first time it's been done............you must have very bad wifi in you grandmas basementA nice way of saying you don't make losing bets.Me neither, but I'm willing to bet Derek is going to be convicted. The evidence is brutal.
Sure, let the judge tank a case on global television. Let's see how that works out.
I agree.
Eric Garner was murdered on national t.v.. The Staten Island (cop haven) grand jury refused to indict.Dude, all the cops are pro-cops and they're saying Derek violated every procedure they had. He's not a rookie who made a mistake, he's a 19 year veteran.
The juror would not only have to be a Cop Bunny, but hate African-Americans and consider what Chauvin did a righteous act....like some JPP members are posting.
She agreed with my sentiment about the jury. You do realize that a "floater" is a corpse in the water, don't you?

who wouldn't be calm when people are understanding and agreeable............it's when people look to provoke shit that it gets bad.Nope. See how much better things are when you calm down?
no, it doesn't look good for him and if I was on the jury, i'd have already convicted himAgreed, but this one is on global television plus, and a very big plus, it was recorded six ways from Sunday. Balance the visual and audio evidence against the testimony that Chauvin broke every rule in the book and it doesn't look good for Chauvin.

Ummm, no it's not. It's when people overreact that shit gets bad. Case in point: Derek Chauvin murdering George Floyd.who wouldn't be calm when people are understanding and agreeable............it's when people look to provoke shit that it gets bad.

I've been thinking the same, but I just don't feel it coming. Of course, I have to catch up on my recordings of the trial. The fact that all were fired immediately is a positive. The fact that this even went to trial is a positive.Times They Are A'Changin'.
Where is Daniel Pantaleo now?
How much money did Staten Island pay to settle with Eric Garner's family? How much did Minneapolis pay to settle with George Floyd's family?
The Chauvin case was exceptionally brutal in addition to a gross violation of all police procedure.
IMHO, the murder of George Floyd is a watershed moment. In many ways it's a Perfect Storm of police brutality against African-American citizens, the Social Media age and a nation that is shocked by the brutality of watching a man plead for his life as a brutal police officer murders him in broadlight for over nine minutes.
What I find oddest about this case is how many far Right Wingers, haters of the government and whiners about Wace and Ruby Ridge, are defending Derek Chauvin.

Let's see how this plays out.
I'm thinking there will be a civil case against him when this is over.

Well, he was fired already. Unless they move a new grand jury out of Staten Island, I don't see him getting indicted.PS Daniel Pantaleo's troubles may not be over....and, IIRC, there's no statute of limitations on murder.

Change In Law Allows Closer Look At Complaints Against Of Daniel Pantaleo, NYPD Officer Fired For Eric Garner Chokehold Death

Of course not. He didn't pay that. He wasn't sued in civil court.perhaps you forgot about the 27 million dollar settlement?????
No. I haven't read up on his reasoning. I'm guessing he claimed it has no relevance. He also deemed it inadmissible for the jury to know that Chauvin worked with Floyd in the past.
So was OJ's. It would be punitive. If he's found guilty, it's moot.Hard to imagine what they'd feel the could get from him.
And after getting $27 million from the city that would just make them look greedy.
Besides, the man's life is ruined as it is.
