He didn't say anything about banning religion. He merely said that we shouldn't allow preachers to do politics at the pulpit. I agree with that, and so should any other Constitution-supporting citizen. We grant them tax-exempt status in order to protect the separation between church and state. Preachers who violate that by preaching politics should lose that status.

You have the right to boycott any sport that offends you with the political speech. Free market at work.

What we have absolutely no power over, is the supposed 'free speech' that gives corporations the ability to choose our leaders, and buy legislation.

A few public figures speaking out on their only stage pales in comparison.

While it's true Trump did those things it's not true that Trump originated anything.

This shit has been building since the end of the Cold War. It's up to our nation's citizens to resolve it.

IMO, it's stupid to suppress the vote. Better to educate it. It makes America stronger to do so.

The word Patriot has been so abused and misused, it's sickening to even hear the word now. PLEASE DEFINE "GREAT AGAIN"! It only means "TRUMP AGAIN" to me when I hear it. And I never thought Trump could ever make anything great again. In my opinion, everything Trump touches goes to shit in a handbasket.

And all the while- TRUMP IS THE WORLD"S WORST SPORT that won't even admit it when he is defeated hands down- much less congratulate the winner.

Even the site of someone wearing a red Ball cap or red gimme hat of any kind makes me cringe and want to throw-up now! I even threw away my TeXas Rangers Red Baseball cap because I don't want to be associated with TRUMP'S TRUMPTARDED RED HAT CLUB! Even the color red has a huge shit stain on it that will never go away now!

Sports figures have opinions too, and as long as TRUMP AND HIS TRUMPTARDS ARE OUT THERE EXPRESSING ALL OF HIS OPINIONS AT EVERY OPPORTUNE PODIUM- I see no reason why Sports figures should not be allowed to use the only podium they have to express theirs!

I mean what's next- Actors, Poets, Singers, Songwriters, Comedians, Novelists, are not going to be allowed to state their opinions publicly- Just Because it upsets somebody? PFFFFT! CRY ME A FUCKING RIVER!

Perhaps if you were a star athlete or musician last century, and was a star on the field/stage but treated like a dog everywhere else, you would understand the importance of speaking out when you have the attention of the masses.

Disagreed on "absolutely". Yes, whoever thought it was a good fucking idea to give a nearly immortal, soulless entity the same rights as an American citizen should have been hung the same day.

The problem the Republicans are facing is they don't like the results of democracy. Therefore, they've gone even more authoritarian than the Democrats. This isn't working for them but they refuse to change course.
At least in public. ;) In the end, I think it'll all work out. Trump has brought out the dark underbelly of America. Let's see what most Americans want to do about it.

A genius ploy originated by the Koch Bros.. Knowing that Republicans would never again regain power on the national stage after Obama won, they focused on stealing state/local elections.

We now see that it leads to full control on the national stage. Nobody could be bothered to vote against trump in '16, despite being warned about the future of the courts.

Now we will have 40 challenges to unconstitutional voter suppression laws, being decided by (in many cases) The Heritage Foundation.

He grew up a talented, middle-class American in Wisconsin. It's only later that he decided to identify as black.

FWIW, I'm not buying the "one drop of blood" bullshit. Native American tribes can decide membership by blood, but neither the Feds nor the States possess the power deem who is "white", "black" or anything else not covered by treaties or "special" benefits voted upon by Congress and signed by a President.

Not a lawyer, but I can't see how any American can support the idea that genetics define who we are as Americans.
