Real Clear Politics quietly changes Biden to below 270

I’m not making any predictions about her, but I get a sense that she’s reasonable and fair. I know people laugh at persons who go by their gut, but my feelings have always served me well.

Trust your "gut", your instincts. It's your subconscious and, like the rest of your brain, it works better the more you use it. Like anything else, your own subconscious can be wrong, but the more it's used, the more it will prove to be correct. Practice makes perfect.

Example of your subconscious at work: Remember when taking government-style multiple-choice tests? RTFQ, understand the question then pick the answer. If you don't know, guess. Never, ever change your answer later because odds are you'll have changed it to a wrong answer.

A person's subconscious is non-verbal. It expresses itself with "feelings", impulses. Look at something logically, but if unsure, a person should always go with their gut.

I strongly disagree with empowering the Federal government to censor the States. It violates State's Rights.

Nobody is censoring anybody. Simply not beginning to report results until polls have all closed is not censorship, it is quite literally the same thing as telling them not to report any results until their own polls have closed. It isn't that long of a wait, and results can no longer affect the vote in other areas.

States monitor their own polls and should remain free to release the results of all county votes within their respective states as they see fit.

To block them from doing so is Federal censorship.

It was actually pretty easy to find. You were calling it here before midnight on election eve (thread bumped).

Which doesn't change that there is likely a post somewhere with me talking about how results should not be reported by the states until all polls have closed. The two are not exclusive.

I participate in reality like everybody else. And I still have to admit it was fun to watch the crying, just as I am sure some folks enjoyed a bit of schadenfreude in this election. It still changes nothing of my opinion on this. Results of any election should be held until all polls have closed. Then any "calls" or to otherwise attempt to affect voting are useless.

Again, it would not. Just as we expect them to not report until their own polls have closed. This is absurd. Simply holding information until all polls have closed is not a hardship or censorship.

Fair enough. I will take you at your word on that.

I don't necessarily disagree - but after a very intense, passionate contest, it can cause some instability to drag things out indefinitely. Candidates have a right to some recounts in very close states, and should challenge any large-scale irregularities they see quickly.

I think Trump has a scorched earth plan that goes well beyond that. But I'd be happy to be wrong.

Waiting until Hawai'i's polls have closed is not "indefinitely". We simply wait a few hours then all the "calls" or predictions, or other attempts to affect how folks vote elsewhere, etc. can cause no damage to the results as the votes were already cast.

They can report tallies instantly. Maybe I'm mistaken and am unaware of a Federal law mandating that States can't release their votes until their polls close. Is there? If so, then saving all for the end would be easy to pass even though I disagree with it.

If there isn't a law, then IMO, it would be more Federal overreach.
