There are ALREADY restrictions on 2A. U.S. citizens are NOT allowed to keep & bear arms:
- in public schools
- in courts of law
- on commercial airliners
- at the post office
- etc.
To pretend that our "right to keep & bear arms" has not ALREADY been infringed is simple unbridled ignorance.

Semi automatics have been around for over a century. Why has this just recently become a problem? Oh, and people don't have access to "assault rifles," they can only be obtained with strict and proper permits.
Why has it become a problem? Are you not keeping up with the news?
Oh and those "permits" don't mean anything if a person on the FBI list can purchase one and shoot up a club.

Why have these school shootings just recently become a problem when semi automatic weapons have been around for over a century?
Oh, and those permits (for "actual" assault rifles) are incredibly hard to obtain, not to mention expensive.
