Blue Wall Continues To Crumble Around Chauvin

What will be interesting is how the ME responds when he takes the stand and the defense starts asking him about lack of damage or injury to the wind pipe and how, if Floyd was not able to breathe, he was able to continue talking.

They're focusing on the semantics of "strangulation" to mean obstructing air to the lungs, but that's not the oxygen that was obstructed...the oxygen obstructed was to his brain, not his lungs.

That's what putting your knee to someone's neck like Chauvin did is supposed to do...choke someone out by cutting off oxygen to the brain.

Chauvin's attorneys and Conservatives on this board think everyone is as stupid as they are.

You can definitely still breathe if someone is cutting off the oxygen to your brain...it'll just be very difficult to do so and will make you think your windpipe is being choked.

I have little confidence that every juror will convict. As you stated, probably several times. When Chauvin walks, he will indeed end up a floater.

As he should.

I think that if the defense does their job, Chauvin might get away with 2nd degree manslaughter.

I doubt he'll just walk away free.

There goes the defense's whole case

This should be interesting. The biased judge already denied the jury the knowledge that all involved in Floyd's murder have been fired.

I'll bet the prosecution is going to have to tiptoe around that during direct.

Do you know why the judge is withholding that information from the jury?

Which policies? Like "Shall Shalt Not Murder"?

you should know as well as I do that if there was murderous intent, he'd have been fired and arrested within a day. But the chief didn't want to make that political call and left it up to a DA............but the chief DOES have it within his authority to fire for policy violations, most likely the failure to provide for medical aid when requested...........

That made no sense. The judge said it was irrelevant when he did not allow it in the trial.
And you said the jury should hear it. So it's relevant.

Especially given the entire defense is founded on the fact that Chauvin followed protocol.

Do you know why the judge is withholding that information from the jury?
No. I haven't read up on his reasoning. I'm guessing he claimed it has no relevance. He also deemed it inadmissible for the jury to know that Chauvin worked with Floyd in the past.

Why are you flip-flopping again? You're defending a member of the Evil Empire you hate so much.

I'm content to let the trial play out and bet on the outcome. You?

why are you so fucking stupid??? I didn't defend anyone. All i'm talking about is department policies and politics, idiot.

let it play out, but I don't bet on shit like this. too many cop friendly judges and weak spined DAs ready to tank a case and blame it on a jury

Awww, there you go again gettin' your BVDs in a bunch. All excited and all. No wonder you never made it.

A nice way of saying you don't make losing bets. Me neither, but I'm willing to bet Derek is going to be convicted. The evidence is brutal.

Sure, let the judge tank a case on global television. Let's see how that works out.
