Blue Wall Continues To Crumble Around Chauvin

So that makes it okay? How did they revamp the jury system? Was that Federal or just California?
Before OJ got away with murder, I never had to serve jury duty. Being self employed with less than 2 employees, I simply had to supply my schedule C in order to prove hardship.

Now nobody escapes from being called for jury duty.

8 minutes. I seriously doubt that. It defies physics. He would have to lean back on his feet for 8 minutes. No cop can even sit back on his feet for 8 minutes.

Something I noticed from the beginning is that the part of Floyd's neck where the knee appears to be, is more towards the back of the neck and not directly on the side where the carotid artery is located.

As evidenced in these two different angles....

Furthermore, his other knee appears to be closer to Floyd's shoulder blade than the middle of his back where it would have to be to restrict his breathing.

Chauvin could very well have taken some of the weight off of the forward (neck) knee and transferred it to the one on his upper left back.

It's impossible to tell from a video or a picture how much pressure was on Floyd's neck.

I think it does look like the knee was not directly on the artery though.

I would think the defense would bring that up.

I would agree that it doesn't look like the knee is deep enough to totally cut off the carotid, the way rear naked chokes or triangle chokes work. It's evident that Floyd's face was smashed into the pavement for 8 minutes, long after he was pleading for his life and telling Chauvin 'you win'.
I don't believe that you are defending Chauvin, but pictures don't show us as much as the entire video. I'm sure there were times when the knee was doing more damage.

Further, testimony has addressed the fact that simply being cuffed behind the back while prone limits proper breathing.

The question then becomes... what percentage of Floyd's death was attributable to Chauvin's actions, specifically the knee, and what percentage was attributable to the extremely large amount of fentanyl and methamphetamine he took while having a bad heart to begin with.

The picture of Chauvin, a white cop, with his knee on the neck of a black man, does not look good by any stretch of the imagination. But it would be a grotesque miscarriage of justice to put a man away based solely on appearances.

If the prosecution cannot prove beyond that old familiar reasonable doubt that Chauvin's actions alone killed Floyd, they have to either acquit him or convict on 2nd degree of manslaughter.

Those are reasonable questions, but my only question is about why Chauvin and two other cops remained on Floyd after he hadn't been resisting for several minutes. Given that they claim to know that he was on drugs, it was incumbent upon them to take that into consideration. Especially given that he was handcuffed behind his back, had the weight of 3 cops on him, and forced to lay prone.

The medical issues will be debated ad nauseum once the prosecution ends it's proof of proper police protocols.

Unless you live in a rural area of Texas. I've never been asked. :)

The defense still hasn't presented its case yet, so best to wait until all the evidence has been presented by both sides.

It's no George Zimmerman trial, that's for sure.

I don't remember the Zimmerman trial being televised in its entirety. Additionally, the event wasn't recorded once much less from multiple angles and sources.

The Zimmerman trial was covered on live TV "gavel to gavel" as they say.

I watched every minute of it.

Some of the best TV I've ever watched.

Even without multiple angle cell phone video.

I must have been working.
