Oooh, dude. Now you're the one looking like a nut bag. Sad.

Why are you against the unalienable right of free speech? What is she doing that Trump and any other political asshole hasn't done?

Dude im not against free speech Im aganst thinking you should be free from the consequences of your speech. trump suffered the consequences didnt he??????? Impeached twice and lost an election.

I'm against politicizing sports regardless of the cause and regardless who does it.

Colin Kaepernick used politics more for personal purposes, but he wasn't the first to politicize sports. Jimmy Carter wasn't the first to politicize sports either, but I firmly believe politics should be left out of sports and those who do it ejected from the field and stripped of any awards.

For the past week, they’ve played the national anthem one time a night at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials.

On Saturday, the song happened to start while outspoken activist Gwen Berry was standing on the podium after receiving her bronze medal in the hammer throw.

While the music played, Berry placed her left hand on her hip and shuffled her feet. She took a quarter turn, so she was facing the stands, not the flag. Toward the end, she plucked up her black T-shirt with the words “Activist Athlete” emblazoned on the front, and draped it over her head.

“I feel like it was a set-up, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of the timing of the anthem. “I was pissed, to be honest.”

Is hating your country really a political matter?

LOL re. a red cap.

Even though NY is fully opened, with no mask restrictions, I still wear a mask in most stores so that people know that I didn't vote for trump.

I just used my common sense and wore a mask up until a week after my 2nd shot- while out in stores etc.

It was not too much for me to do my part in helping mitigate the disease.

But now, I am mask free and COVID free!

So I donned the mask! AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!

Good job. Too bad our nation's leaders betrayed us by downplaying the severity of the pandemic. Lives and money could have been saved.

While it's true Trump did those things it's not true that Trump originated anything.

This shit has been building since the end of the Cold War. It's up to our nation's citizens to resolve it.

IMO, it's stupid to suppress the vote. Better to educate it. It makes America stronger to do so.

You're right! Trump is about as original as a wet-fart!

But, he knew how to find the most stupidest and hateful morons in America, and flame up their asses with lies, Fake News, Hatespeak, Conspiracy Theories, fear, and racism just so he could run his scams on America for his own best financial interests- and of course use the office of the presidency to escape prosecution from the many rape and TAX EVASION/TAX FRAUD crimes he has committed- that were all catching up to him.

His whole idea of being president was to abuse executive powers to protect himself from prosecution.

It is still the only reason why he can't let go till this very day.

He knows- without executive powers, he is going to jail! And he has known that all along!

We're agreed again. Of course people should be held accountable for what they say.

While it can't be done retroactively, I'd prefer most sports associations start inserting rules about professional conduct on the field and taking harsh action against violators. What they do off the field is up to the association.

FWIW, how many people have been fired for comments they made on social media such as Facebook? The Insurrectionists? The anti-vaxxers?

Individuals have unalienable rights. They are free to give up protection on some of those rights as a condition of employment just like all JPP members are held accountable for the TOS.

Nothing against Gwen or anyone else per se; I'm just tired of seeing everything turn fucking political.

Trump's superpower was his showmanship, not his intelligence.

again agreement. thats why i said the olympics will be destroyed

Yea, probably. If you can't win and be in the limelight you might as well start shit and whine until the media notices...

Like "Politics is showbusiness for ugly people", mediocre aspiring sports heros can become political activists. $30M is a nice payday.

503c does not ban political speech. You are allowed to encourage people to vote. You just can't tell them who to vote for.
Meaning screaming "Make America Great Again" and "White Heritage" is okay as long as they don't say "Vote Trump"?

Do you think the families who had everything taken from them in Greenwood OK SHOULD NEVER GET ANY OF IT BACK?

Why?

Like returning stolen art and family heirlooms to Jews after WWII and compensating Japanese-Americans for internment, Tulsa should compensate the families of Greenwood.

And we Americans can hate them for being dicks and firing him

What if football players decided to click their heels together and give a good stiff arm salute "Hail Trump"? How many Liberal bricks would be shat then?

What’s with the racist rant asshole

kapernick’s father was African

He is black

How is he NOT black?
It's not racist to disagree with sports figures politicizing their sport regardless if it's about blacks, gays, Hispanics or any other group.

IMO, it's best to preserve the integrity of the sport without making it political too. That never works out well.

How do you determine how "black" or "white" a person is? I didn't get the memo.

Kaepernick's only half white. His mom is white and his dad is black.

Almost all African-Americans have Euro-American blood in them. Ergo, dad, unless he's from Africa, is less than 100% "black" meaning Kap is over 50% "white"....for those playing that game*. I don't. Kap is no more black than Rachel Dolenzo....maybe less so. The difference is the culture in which they've been raised and choose to live.

*Same for Obama?
