The hypocrisy is thick and rank around here.......and there, and everywhere.

seriously, if you are trying to get on the U.S. Olympic team to represent your country in the Olympic games, you probably should not be such a dumbfuck as to turn your back on your nations anthem or flag.

It's a megaphone: They are using the status as a political platform. Get the politics out of sports and the nonsense will stop.

Was that after his rich white parents removed his silver spoon? He was KNEELING, for the premise that cops target black people, which is a false premise!

Disagreed it's a false premise. Nonetheless, a football field is no place for politics, right or wrong.

nothing says America and freedom more than telling people what they can say and when.
this coming from a POS that supports Trump be banned from speaking on twitter

A fair point. The bottom line is the private companies or NGOs have a right to establish rules of conduct and enforce those rules. The only thing I ask is that the rules be fair to all and applied fairly to all.

Politics has no place on the sports field and the NGOs governing sports should act to stop the bullshit before it gets even more out of hand.

Twitter is a private company. Trump is a multi-billionaire. He can start is own social media company.

You need to get your eyes checked...

An excellent find. :flagsal:

Yes. And when I say that neither he...nor OJ were black, of course I reference their privileged lives and not their DNA. I'm sure one of the murders at the time inspired Kap to start kneeling, but the moron never followed up in the most important election year in recent history. In fact, he didn't bother to vote himself.

Which is why I feel he's a moron. If he really wanted change, he had the stage, and the perfect opportunity to do something useful.

Jews do the same thing. Many believe that Judaism is a nationality AND a religion. I don't buy it.

Of course, anti-semites don't care if you practice any religion or not, if you have Jew blood then you are a Jew.

Ironically, so do religious Jews. If your mother was Jewish, you're in the tribe no matter what.

At what point in a person's DNA are they no longer "white" or "black" or do they become either "white" or "black"? Geneticists have proved that "race" is an idiotic notion.

Tiger Woods pissed off several "black" leaders when he refused to identify as "black" since he's 'Cablinasian'; half Asian, one quarter black and 1/8 each white and Native American. So what do the racists label him as being? Black? Asian? White? Where's the cutoff?

https://www.liveabout.com/tiger-woods-ethnicity-1566365
Woods' mother, Kultida, is a native of Thailand whose own ancestry includes Chinese and Dutch. She once referred to herself as "half-Thai, one-quarter Chinese and one-quarter White."

Woods' father, Earl, was an African-American whose heritage included White, Asian and Native American ancestors. Earl Woods once called himself, "half-Black, one-quarter American Indian, and one-quarter Chinese."

He was indeed living the dream before he suffered white guilt for sure. If you peruse his stats and accomplishment with San Fran, you'll see that he was one of the better QBs in the league. He had 3 surgeries in the off season for nagging injuries. The kneeling came when he was on the mend. If you want to judge any athlete while they're playing injured, then sure...we can agree to disagree.

Not saying Kap is bad, since the link below does it for me, just that he's mediocre. ;)

Among all 33 quarterbacks to play at least 500 snaps, Kaepernick was our worst-graded quarterback in 2015. In 2016, he ranked seventh-worst of 30 qualifying. Prior to that, he hovered around the NFL average.

Good, but some are doing more than that. It's an area that needs more enforcement.
Agree. There was a lot of hoopla over the IRS scrutinizing the thousands of new C3/C4 applications with the name 'Tea Party' years ago.

My mistake earlier: Churches have a 501c3 exemption, not 503. https://www.aplos.com/academy/church-management/501c3-tax-exempt-right-for-your-church/

Keep in mind, churches may lobby for legislation or ballot initiatives, but they are prohibited from showing support for political candidates. If a church is shown to be in violation of this restriction, they risk losing their exempt status. What most people don’t realize is that churches and nonprofits exist under this definition whether or not they have officially received 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.
I knew what you meant.

Didn't check the link, but fantasy stats have little to do with real life. Brady sucked against teams that pressured him. Supporting cast makes a big difference.

If you want to compare pre/post injury stats, then sure. Remember...Kap came in off the bench when Alex Smith went down. He immediately brought them to the championship.

IIRC, there was some political motivation behind that, not just enforcing the law. Better to enforce all laws equally and fairly to all.

Stats are stats; those were Kaps. How those stats are used by fantasy football players is irrelevant.

So Kap had one good game? Again, not saying he's a shitty ball player, just mediocre....and the NFL should have enforced their code of conduct rules.

To be more accurate, there was only public scrutiny of the Teabag orgs' IRS issues. They scrutinized quite a few others.

yeah, i know. in other words, limit their right speak about what they want. why not be more american? you can protest, you can insult, you can spit on the flag, and others have the right to "cancel" your ass, to boycott any brands you sponsor, etc. etc. unless it is promoting violence, why is the government involved?

No, if she agreed to she limited her own rights in that limited time and space because the other party demanded their forum not be a soapbox for something it may disagree with.
Next we can discuss about whether such a term would be unconscionable or adhesive. ;)

She was representing herself, not her country. What happens when another sports figure gives a Nazi salute and says "Hail Trump, the true President!"? Freedom of Speech?
Yes. But that would be one person's delusions, vs an entire nation who knows that our history is a disgrace when it comes to the treatment of black athletes.

Re "Scrutinizing" There damn well should be. I am against the whole fucking religious enterprise, so I damn sure resent tax advantages to encourage them and for them to use, irrespective of whatever the fuckall they are supposed to be doing, our commonweal to burrow themselves deeper like a political tick into the body politic. Eternal life clubs should be treated like Bushwood country club, if they can't make it on their own, let them die. Maybe God will save them.

Besides a dire need for Tax Reform in the US, enforcement is spotty. I have no problem with the IRS enforcing the tax code for all organizations, churches included.

Same goes for our nation's treatment of women, Native Americans, vets, you name it.

Again, should the Olympic committee extend the medal ceremony 15 minutes so each winner can have five minutes to protest the subject of their choice?
