Hey idiot, how is it a metering issue when the pipeline network is separate from the corporate network, which was hacked.
Colonial literally says they shut down the pipeline as a precaution. The pipeline, and the "meters" in that pipeline, were not what was hacked.
Idiot, none of the pipeline networks were hacked.
What was hacked was the corporate network and the billing, Colonial made it very clear that their operations were not hacked, but were shut down over an abundance of caution.
Words have meaning.
If they know what's being moved, they could determine the billing manually. If they can't meter the fuel they can't determine what the billing would be.
