Besides one's doctor, who should give a shit about "identifying groups"? Seriously. Employers? One's government?

Agreed that such groupings used for comparing superiority is wrong. That goes for those blaming one group for the problems of another group.
That position would have been fantastic when this nation was born, but we built our foundation on White superiority. It still permeates the Republican party to this day.

Nations are the teams. Albeit some bitching(eg Ice Skating) , judges of competitions are fair. The rules are clear.

IMHO, sports watchers should focus more on supporting those abiding by the rules than supporting the rule breakers.

Politics has no place in anything except politics. Politics only fucks up science, sports and anything else it becomes involved in.
You are equating politics to social ills. Granted, the latter typically follows the former, but at the core they are two different discussions.

The Insurrectionists certainly had no value of the lives and health of the police they beat down nor their plans for elected officials if they caught them.

Nope. They just wanted to subvert an American election in order to keep their smirking orange tyrant in office. Yet somehow we're supposed to think of them as heroes and patriots. And the dead bimbo is a hero too, instead of a lawbreaker who was taken out in a righteous police shooting. Have you seen anyone but the Cult calling for an investigation into her death, and demanding to know the name of the LEO who stopped her mid-attack? Any politicians?

When the nation was born, only landowners could vote and the Republican party didn't exist.

Hasn't politics created most of our social ills? Regardless, politics has no place on the sports field.

No. In fact, they don't want an investigation of anything except to name the police officer.

She's claiming the US is racist and, by current far left theory, every "white" person is a fucking racist asshole who deserves punishment.

Oh really?

When did she say that?

This sounds like consciousness of guilt to me.

No one on the left has ever said every white person is a fucking racist.

I think this is a really good way to approach CRT (from Reddit):

Imagine a guy who hates disabled people builds a hotel, so he bans all disabled people, and builds it in such a way as to specifically make access difficult for them. Years later, he sells the hotel to a new owner who has no problem with disabled people. So you have a hotel where the owner has no problem with the disabled, and neither do any staff...however due to the actions of the previous owner, the hotel is still built in such a way that it doesn't accommodate them (no disabled parking, no ramps, no extra considerations, etc.). So although the people currently running it are not actively discriminating, they are operating a system designed to discriminate, and need to fix it even if they aren't to blame for it.

It's the same with racism. The discriminatory practices of the past still have ramifications today, and even if we aren't to blame for them we must not fear them, not ignore them, not dismiss them, but recognize them and change them.

What she said is quoted below. Regardless, she's politicizing a sports ceremony. She can protest whenever she likes, but why disrupt a competition or a ceremony with her fucking drama?

Since LWers often treat every gun owner as a raging maniac, I fail to see why they would do the same with their racism.

Interesting analogy with racism. So, aside from building more ramps and wider toilet stalls, what is your proposal?

A US hammer thrower turned away from the American flag as the national anthem played while she and two other athletes stood on the podium at the Olympic trials Saturday, later saying she was “pissed” that “The Star-Spangled Banner” played as she received her bronze medal.

Gwen Berry — who qualified for her second US Olympic team during the trials — shifted to face the stands rather than the flag before holding up a black shirt that read, “Activist Athlete.”

“I feel like it was a setup, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of the anthem being played. “I was pissed, to be honest.

“They had enough opportunities to play the national anthem before we got up there,” Berry said in Oregon, where the trials are being held. “I was thinking about what I should do. Eventually I stayed there and I swayed, I put my shirt over my head.

You obviously haven't read evince's posts. She calls everyone a racist, and you too.
